The legal pitfalls of association management are often overlooked - a particularly serious issue given that so many new association professionals come from an unrelated field. The "Essentials of Association Law" session this Wednesday at Forum on the River will focus on the basics that all association professionals should know about association law. Topics will include the fiduciary responsibilities of a board versus staff; what is required under prevailing local, state, and federal law; antitrust law and much more.
