Certified Association Executive (CAE) Info
Is It Your Year to Become a
CAE? Fall CAE Sessions begin October 6,
register now.
CAE . Those three letters after your name can represent
professional recognition and career advancement. CAE means Certified Association
Executive, the professional designation for the association management
profession ... and the Forum can help you achieve this individual certification.
The Association Forum was the first local society to provide study groups for
CAE candidates back in the mid-'70s.
The Forum strongly encourages you to enroll in the society's study group. The
sooner you get the application into ASAE, the sooner you will know whether you
are eligible to sit for the exam, and to participate in the study group. Here
are the details:
WHO: The study group is intended for association
professionals who have met the basic CAE certification requirements, who
file their application by September 11, 2009 (or October
9, 2009- Subject to an additional $100 application extension fee)
and who intend to take the December
4, 2009 examination .
WHAT: The study group is a small, interactive group
of association professionals that meets for a structured case study
series based on the ten domain areas of identified competencies, open
discussion and a review of potential exam questions and materials.
WHERE: Tuesday, October 6 - Tuesday, November
17, 2009 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm Association Forum- 10 S. Riverside Plaza Ste 800
Chicago, IL
Thursday, October 8-November 19, 2009 Location to be determined.
CONTENT : Weekly meetings will be facilitated by existing
CAEs and will focus on the ten identified domains of association
management expertise. With this format, every exam subject will be covered
