Corporate Social Responsibility

GIVE A LITTLE, GET A LOT! GIVE BACK AT HOLIDAY SHOWCASE 2016!

T'is the season for giving! This year, Association Forum is proud to continue our corporate social responsibility initiative in support of our local community.

There are three great ways to give back!

Give the Gift of Your Time:

Join us in the Corporate Social Responsibility Pavilion on the tradeshow floor to assemble holiday stockings and write greeting cards for the children of the North Lawndale YMCA. Our corporate social responsibility partner, Tourism Vancouver, has graciously donated 200 stockings to make the holidays a little brighter for some of our local children. Just a few minutes of your time will make a huge difference for the kids who recieve the fun-filled bundles of cheer. As you're planning your Holiday Showcase experience, plan to donate a little of your time at the Holiday Showcase CSR Pavilion.  No advance registration is required.

The items for the gift bags will be provided to you so we just need your time and energy!

Give the Gift of Diapers:

Did you know an adequate supply of diapers for just one child costs around $100 per month? For a non-profit adoption agency, that's a huge expense in their overall budget. Renowned as one of the foremost adoption agencies in the country, since opening in 1923, The Cradle has helped place more than 15,000 children into permanent, loving homes. Bring your donation of diapers to participate in the #VanGiving Diaper Drive.  The Cradle nursery only uses Pampers Swaddlers; any other types of diapers would be given to birth parent families who have children.

Attendee Challenge:

Snap a selfie when stuffing your stocking or dropping off your diaper donation at Holiday Showcase. Post the picture on Twitter or Instagram using #VanGiving and tag @MeetVancouver for a chance to win an all-inclusive trip to Vancouver for two!

Forum Plus Member Challenge:

Compete with your colleagues to win the coveted Golden Diaper Award, "The Grace Cup" (named by the 2015 winner, AHIMA, in honor of their founder). The winning organization's name will be engraved onto the trophy the team will be featured in the January/February issue of FORUM Magazine, outlining what your association does to improve your industry or workplace and how you give back to the community.

Stop by the Corporate Social Responsibility Pavilion to do something good and get in the holiday spirit.
