Open to all aspiring CAEs at Chicagoland associations, the
Association Forum’s CAE Study Course meets weekly and includes group
discussions that are designed to help association professionals study
for the Certified Association Executive exam — then pass it!
The study course is intended for association professionals who have met
the basic CAE certification requirements, and plan to sit for an
What: The study course is an
interactive group of association professionals that meets weekly to
study the nine identified domains of association management.
Facilitated by CAE "graduates," study course sessions focus on the nine
identified domains of association management. During each session,
course participants review identified best practices for each
domain, sample CAE questions and key terms. The course also offers a
test-prep session, a CAE pre-test during the first session, and a CAE
mock exam. It is strongly advised that all participants read the
recommended readings before each session. Domains are not covered in
numeric order; a study guide is provided at the first session. To order

Study course sessions meet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for eleven weeks
in February, March and April for the Spring exam date, and in September,
October and November for the Fall exam date on Tuesday nights at our
Feedback from recent participants indicates that students spend from
four to six hours reviewing materials and recommended readings each
week. How much time you spend preparing for each class and the exam will
depend on your comfort level with the material for each domain.
