Association Forum Announces Nominations for 2010-2011 Board of Directors Association Forum Announces Nominations for 2010-2011 Board of Directors CHICAGO (Feb. 12, 2010) – The Association Forum of Chicagoland is pleased to announce the candidates nominated for officer and director positions on the 2010-2011 Association Forum Board of Directors. The Association Forum’s board includes executives and thought leaders from associations and professional societies across Chicagoland. It represents the wide diversity of organizations that form Chicago’s association community, which is the nation’s second largest, serving more than 37 million members and generating approximately $22 billion in global annual expenditures. “Because it’s a membership organization, the Association Forum can only reach as high as its members are willing to lift it,” said Association Forum President and CEO Christie A. Tarantino, CAE. “Once again, Association Forum members have shown that there’s no limit to that height. By answering the call to service, this year’s board nominees have ensured that the Association Forum can continue to grow, evolve and excel to the benefit of all its members. They’ve demonstrated their unflinching commitment to their association, their industry and their profession, and for that we are grateful.” The Association Forum’s Nominating Committee has submitted the following candidates for consideration by Association Forum members: Pursuant to the Association Forum’s bylaws, association professional and supplier partner members may submit additional candidates for the respective position(s) by petition containing the signatures of 10 percent of their respective memberships. Petitions must be received by Feb. 11, 2010, at 5 p.m. (CST) at Association Forum headquarters. If petitions are received, a mail ballot will be conducted between March 1 and March 31, 2010, with the contest election result(s) being announced April 1.
