Kara Adams is the Director of Education at the Society of American Archivists and a 2016 Forty Under 40® awardee. Based in Chicago but originally from "out west", Kara has a diverse background in animal behavior and training, at-risk youth program development and fundraising for higher education. Her professional focus is on Learning Management System (LMS) implementation, online content development, adult learning and community engagement.
Kara has participated on panel discussions at Association Forum's Holiday Showcase and DigitalNOW conferences, and will be presenting "You’ve Got This! 10 Steps from Zero to eLearning Hero" at ASAE's 2017 Annual Meeting in Toronto.
Kara enjoys sharing restaurant recommendations with friends visiting Chicago, having picnics with her adopted Pomeranian, reading anything by Charles Dickens and aspires to someday own an Airstream trailer to travel the country fly-fishing.
