Bree Anne Sutherland Scholarship

Association Forum Foundation is proud to announce that Felica Owens, is the recipient of the second annual Bree Anne Sutherland Scholarship! Felicia, the Governance Program Coordinator at the Society of American Archivists, was selected from an impressive group of qualified applicants. As the Bree Anne Sutherland Scholar, Felicia will be paired with a mentor from the association industry: Rob Paterkiewicz, CAE, MBA, IOM, Executive Director & CEO, Selected Independent Funeral Homes. Rob is the immediate past-chair of Association Forum Board of Directors.

ABOUT THE BREE ANNE SUTHERLAND SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship will grant a young professional (30 years of age or less) unlimited access to Association Forum's education offerings for one year. At the conclusion of the "field" study, the scholar will be responsible for detailing his or her learning experience. The scholarship includes education fees and travel expenses. 

The scholar must be local to the Chicago association community and will be selected annually by the Association Forum Foundation president and CEO and staff. Applicants must be active and engaged Association Forum members with a commitment to advancing the professional practice of association management. 

The scholarship is effective April 1 through March 31 (Association Forum’s fiscal year).

Association Forum mourns the loss of Bree Anne Sutherland, Association Forum’s former director of learning, in December 2016. Bree touched many lives known and unknown. To honor her legacy, on January 25, 2017, the Association Forum Foundation Board of Directors approved The Bree Anne Sutherland Scholarship.
