The year was 1916. War clouds loomed over Europe, Congress introduced a federal income tax, and the Chicago Cubs played their first game at Wrigley Field. Amid this backdrop, 18 visionary association executives gathered at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Chicago. Their mission? To create a space for collaboration and professional growth. From that meeting, the Chicago Business Secretaries Forum was born—our first name, our first step toward shaping an industry.
